SE Arizona: The Monsoons are here!

Mike:
There was a fire at the bottom end – mostly grass. The main fire did not reach the fort.
But they were going to/will make a fire break, thinning brush, etc. up Garden Canyon RD to (including?) Sawmill. I know they did some control burning up there last year. I don’t have any idea how much habitat will be destroyed by the fire break, if any.

What's the status of Garden Cyn, i.e. did it burn as predicted?

Thanks, Mike Quinn, Austin

At long last, the Monsoons have started here in SE Arizona. Had 0.2 inches last
night in Tucson --- does not sound like much, but first rain since Sept!!!

Forecast is for scattered thunderstorms starting on the weekend. As always, the
key will be if these last, but at least a start!
