Folks,
Here in north Georgia, had an exceedingly warm night last night ahead of a cold front, and moths were on my back porch in droves (okay, probably a couple hundred). Already have had ridiculously early emergences of a few moths, including the really neat geometrid Ceratonyx satanaria . . . got my second female ever last night. I had never taken the species earlier than early March before this year, when I saw the first individuals on Feb. 3, and by last night I've seen 20 - 25 already this spring. Zebra Swallowtails and Falcate Orange Tips already. Amazing what a winter without much winter will do.
