Subject: Juno at Bentsen this afternoon
To: TX-BUTTERFLY at listserv.uh.edu

A little excitement this afternoon as Pat Reik and Marie Burke photographed
what appeared to be a weird Julia Heliconian, but ended up being a Juno. I
was looking at their picture of the butterfly when Dan Jones walked up and
had a strong hunch on the ID. We quickly consulted some more pictures and
agreed on the identity of the butterfly. Several folks raced to the park,
but could not relocate the butterfly. The Juno was spotted at a Turk's Cap
near the park's flag pole. Pat's picture has been posted on BugGuide.net
and can be seen here: http://bugguide.net/node/view/732614

Hope it or another shows up again soon!
