*Now accepting applications for 2026 Xerces Society for Invertebrate
Conservation student research awards:*
*The 2026 Joan Mosenthal DeWind Award (for research and conservation of
Lepidoptera)*
*NEW FOR 2026: The Deborah BanDrosky Award (for research and conservation
of any invertebrate taxon)*
In addition to the Xerces Society's annual Joan Mosenthal DeWind awards to
support students pursuing educational research in Lepidoptera conservation,
we are proud to announce the first annual Deborah BanDrosky Award. This
award is for students engaged in studies and research as part of a higher
education degree related to invertebrate conservation and who intend to
continue to work in this field. *This year, both awards will each have two
$5,000 awards as well as two honorable mention awards. **For full award

*Submission Requirements:*
*Submission Deadline: *The submission deadline for both awards is
Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). DeWind
Award winners will be announced by March 31, 2026, and BanDrosky Award
winners will be announced by April 15, 2026. Initial award payments will be
made by recipients by June 2026.
