Paul (Hershl) Glasser, Associate Dean at the Max Weinreich Center and 
Senior Research Associate at YIVO, will present two lectures at Yale 
University on Wednesday, April 7.

First, in Yiddish at the Yale-New Haven Yiddish Reading Circle:

"Yiddish in Time and Space"
12:00noon-1:15pm , Slifka Center (80 Wall St.), 3rd floor

Second, in English,
"Max Weinreich's  *History of the Yiddish Language*: The History of the * 
History* "

4:30pm,  Slifka Center,  (80 Wall St.), 2nd floor

These lectures, in a series named for Sid Resnick, are sponsored by the 
Yale-New Haven idishe leyenkrayz and the Judaic Studies Program at Yale 
University

Submissions to regular Mendele should not include personal email 
addresses, as responses will be posted for all to read.  They must also 
include the author's name as you would like it to appear.

In order to spare the shamosim time and effort, we request that 
contributors adhere, when applicable, as closely as possible to standard 
English punctuation, grammar, etc. and to the YIVO rules of
