Subject: Lecture on Soviet Yiddish writers executed in 1952
Sunday, October 3, 2 p.m. at the Boston Workmen's Circle
1762 Beacon Street, Brookline Massachusetts

A Lecture in Yiddish in Memory of the Soviet Yiddish Writers Executed on 
August 12, 1952

Prof. Zvi Gitelman of the University of Michigan will give a talk entitled 
Yidishe komunistn un di naye yidishe kultur in sovetn-farband. Jewish 
Communists and the New Yiddish Culture in the Soviet Union,dealing with 
the 1920

Questions following the talk may be asked in English and Russian as
well as in Yiddish.

Prof. Gitelman is a distinguished scholar of East European and Soviet 
Jewish history. A selection of readings from Soviet Yiddish poetry will 
precede the lecture

Sponsored by the Yiddish Committee of Boston Workmen's Circle. Admission 
free.
