Subject: Special Yiddish Concert by Jewish People's Philharmonic Chorus, 
June 3, NYC

Tickets are now available to this special Yiddish concert (English 
translations provided):

Sunday, June 3, 2012, 4:30 PM  -  The Jewish People's Philharmonic Chorus 
presents "Bridging Two Worlds: A Yiddish Musical Journey" Symphony Space, 
2537, Broadway at 95th St., New York City.

Featuring the 1956 Birnbaum/Rauch operetta, "Sholem Aleichem dir, 
Amerike!" ("Hello, America!"), based on Sholom Aleichem's "Motl, Peyse dem 
khazns" ("Motl,
Peyse the Cantor's Son"), and recorded in 1959 with Molly Picon in the 
role of Motl.

This concert also includes works by poets Edelstadt, Fefer, Hoffman, 
Kharik, Kotlyar, Kulbak, Pinchevsky, Rosenfeld and Vladeck;  composers 
Gelbart, Gladstone, Handel, Polonsky, Schaechter and Schaefer;  and a 
World Premiere.

Soloists include Temma Schaechter of Di Shekhter-tekhter as Motl, Donna 
Breitzer, Erik Contzius and Jacob Feldman.  Pianist: Shinae Kim.

Concert length: Around 2 hours, including intermission

Tickets: $30 / $20;  Groups of 10 or more: $25 / $18.
