Mendele Personal Notices & Announcements

January 15, 2015

To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests:

1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance.
2. Send material as plain text: no HTML, other coding, or attachments;and
write MENDELE PERSONALS in the subject line.
3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has
posted the notice,
*not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames.

Mendele personals

Libe Mendelyaner,

I am pleased to announce my forthcoming article, "Nahum Stutchkoff's
Yiddish Play and Radio Scripts in The Dorot Jewish Division, New York
Public Library", in Judaica Librarianship, v. 16/17 (February 2012),
edited by Zachary Baker.

Nahum Stutchkoff, author of the "Oytser fun der yidisher shprakh", was a
Yiddish linguist, translator, actor, director, lyricist and playwright for
the Yiddish stage and radio. His archive in the Dorot Jewish Division
includes scripts for stage plays, lyrics, radio shows and commercials. The
article includes a detailed appendix of his known works.
