Mendele Personal Notices and Announcements
July 17, 2012
To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests:
1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance.
2. Send material as plain text: no HTML, other coding,or
attachments;and write MENDELE PERSONALS in the subject line.
3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has
posted the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames.

Subject: Forverts seeking telephone survey workers
FORVERTS conducting telephone survey of readers: Paid Positions
The number of hours per week, and the days and times, are flexible
depending on your availability, but we would like a commitment of at
least
20 hours a week for at least two weeks.
• You’ll be paid $9 per hour.
• You’ll be given a list of names and phone numbers of
Forverts subscribers.
• You’ll need to try to find the phone number of most of the
subscribers by searching online and/or using sites like 411.com.
• You’ll call all the numbers you find and read the questions
from a questionnaire to the person who answers. You’ll write down the
answers to each question on a form provided. (It will probably take 15
minutes per person.)
• Some of the respondents may need explanations of the
questions, possibly in Yiddish. It would therefore be helpful for you
to be familiar with the Forverts and be able to understand and speak
some basic Yiddish.
• You will be working at a desk in the Forverts offices. 125
Maiden Lane (Wall street area).
Survey should take approximately 4 weeks.
