Composer Mikhl Gelbart set to music the works of over a hundred poets
and dramatists, including Y.L. Peretz and Avrom Reyzen. His beloved
songs have been taught not only in this country, but around the world,
and have been recorded or sung by just about every singer of Yiddish
song.
