Mendele Personal Notices and Announcements

Feb. 7, 2015

To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests:

1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance.
2. Send material as plain text to victor.bers at yale.edu as plain text (no
HTML, other coding, or attachments) and write MENDELE PERSONALS in the
subject line.
3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has posted
the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames.

Dear Friends,

I am looking for a yiddish poem by Motl GRUBIAN. It has not been published
in his books nor in

Sovetish Heymland and Goldene Keyt. It has been written in 1957 (maybe
never published) in Odessa

after he came back from deportation in Siberia. The poem speaks about the
deportation, the

deception of the people, the cruelty of the Guide, his seven years
deportation, and the Black sea.

Thank you for any information.

Sarah Weiss
