He is a Holocaust survivor and we are trying to find a Yiddish poem for his gravestone, but do not know of any. My Dad really likes his mother's epitaph from the Abraham Sutzkever poem "My Mother" which was suggested to him about 20 years ago from this group. "If you are still here, Then I exist too, As the pit in a plum Bears in it the tree And the nest and the bird And the chirp and the coo." We are trying to find something in Yiddish in the same vein for my Grandfather but are having trouble. Does anyone have any suggestions of poems or poets?
