  I would like to announce the publication of a book of essays translated
into English by the Yiddish novelist, Chava Rosenfarb. The book is called,
Confessions of a Yiddish Writer and Other Essays, and it is published by
McGill-Qeens University Press. The book consists of 13 essays, divided into
three sections: personal memoir, literary criticism, and two travelogues,
one of which is a lengthy reminiscence of Rosenfarb’s first visit to
Australia and her encounter with the Jewish community there. I am the
editor of this volume as well as one of the translators. The official
