Wednesday January 11, 4:30pm in Luce Hall (34 Hillhouse) room 202, at the Center
for Latin American and Iberian Studies.

Cynthia Radding, a professor of history at the University of New Mexico, is one
of the premier environmental historians of Latin America, and will discuss her
new book on frontier development in Sonora and Bolivia.  She is a terrific
speaker and will be discussing themes of great interest beyond the Latin
American field.

The talk is titled: "Priests and Shamans: Spiritual Power, Ritual, and
Knowledge"
