Dear friends,
I am pleased to report that the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library
at Yale recently acquired more than 325 books and chapbooks of poetry by
modern and contemporary Native American poets. This collection comes from
the personal library of Abenaki poet (and recent honored recipient of the
American Indian Library Association's American Indian Youth Literature
Award) Joseph Bruchac.
More information about this acquisition can be found on the blog maintained
by the Yale Collection of American Literature at
http://beineckepoetry.wordpress.com/
Best wishes,
Kathleen T. Burns, Archivist
