Subject: H-AmIndian Editor Position Search

Arizona State University invites application for an Instructional
Professional to oversee the H-AMINDIAN website and listserv in the ASU
History Department. The person holding the position will also teach
two undergraduate classes per semester in some aspect of American
Indian history.  The primary responsibility of this position will be
to supervise and manage H-AMINDIAN, an electronic discussion list and
web site dealing with American Indian studies. The instructional
professional will be actively engaged in providing materials for the
list and web, and in writing grants. The application deadline is
rolling; reviews will occur every two weeks thereafter until search is
closed.  The appointment date is negotiable. This is a continuing
position subject to annual renewal.  A background check is required
for employment.  ASU is an EO/AA employer.

Required:
PhD or ABD in American Indian History.
Experience developing/maintaining websites, listervs, and/or blogs.
Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate survey courses in American
Indian history.
Experience developing/writing research grant proposals.

Desired: Experience with on-line publishing. Experience developing web
content. Experience working with terms and conditions of external
grants/contracts. Administrative experience working with graduate
students.
