The University of Connecticut, Avery Point campus seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professorship in Native American Studies, with a preference for a scholar and teacher with expertise in literature and/or the visual arts. Applicants must have the Ph.D. or M.F.A. in hand by August 1, 2008. The successful candidate will develop new courses in Native American studies, establish an annual lecture series highlighting Native American cultures, coordinate outreach activities with local communities, and have the opportunity to work with the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center.
