with Amazônia Brasil,

with Amazon leaders from COIAB and the filmmakers featured in Video 
Amazônia Indígena.

*7:15 pm *U.S. Premiere screening of Pirinop, My First Contact (2007, 83 
min.),

with directors Mari Corrêa and Kumaré Txicão (Ikpeng).

 

Vídeo Amazônia Indígena: A View from the Villages, is being presented 
May 1-5 in New York City and May 6-12 in Washington, D.C.

Support has been provided by the Smithsonian Latino Center, the New York 
State Council for the Arts, a state agency, and the Embassy of Brazil.
