Hope you are doing FANTASTIC! I am going out to Rhode Island for a festival and wanted to reach out to you and see if you could be of any assistance in helping me to promote my short film- Ancestor Eyes. Tantoo Cardinal's work in it is TREMENDOUS, as is the performance by Rulan Tangen who, in fact, was nominated for an acting award in the Action on Film Int Film Festival<http://www.aoffest.com/2008-nominees-schedule.html> which has her competing against all the genres including feature films. We find out tonight or tomorrow morning. At that screening, this past Tuesday, we had a great turnout from the Native community, including two families of kids that I teach for the Native Youth Writing Program. Also, two heads of Casting at the CBS Network, Fern Orenstein and Chris Davidson, came out to see Ancestor Eyes and LOVED IT! Keep in mind that they left work early to drive all the way out to Pasadena to come see Ancestor Eyes at 4pm on a Tuesday!

Well, I will be in Providence for a week as I have been invited to show my directorial debut, a wonderful short film- Ancestor Eyes. I won a couple of awards, including a screenwriting award which allowed me to produce this short last year and I am so PROUD of it. RIIFF is one of the country's TOP film festivals, Academy Qualifying, and I am honored not only to be screening my film there, but to be speaking on a panel, discussing Native Filmmaking! This all takes place on Friday, Aug 8th, any ideas you have, newspapers or newschannels to contact, Native groups to invite, anything, I would love to PACK the 800 seat house with my little short film! Here's info on "stuff". Drop me a line when you get a chance...

I am going to Providence for the Rhode Island International Film Festival<http://riiff2008.withoutabox.com/festivals/event_item.php?id=17025> from Aug 5-10th where my Award Winning Short film, Ancestor Eyes<http://www.myspace.com/ancestoreyesshort> has been invited to screen on August 8th.
