March 18-20, 2008 - Tribal Energy Policy: Climate and Technology Challenges

* The Third Annual Tribal Energy Policy Conference will bring together
high level tribal, industry, and government leaders and experts in the many
fields of energy, environment, science and technology, and policy in a
series of facilitated dialogues to: examine the emerging global, national,
and tribal environment in which tribal energy and development policies will
be made; identify the impacts of energy, social, and technological
adaptations to climate change and increased global competition for energy
resources; and, to establish a framework for rationalizing tribal energy
policy.

March 19-21, 2008 - Planning for Seven Generations: Traditional and
Scientific Approaches to Climate Change - Denver, CO
* The conference will approach climate change from two perspectives;
one rooted in indigenous experiences and one born of present-day science.
The overarching goal is to look for opportunities for the two perspectives
to point to shared strategies for understanding, adapting to, and mitigating
climate change, with a particular focus on American Indian Lands.
