will be argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in November, but first a nasty
local dispute must be resolved: Who should represent Rhode Islandís interests
before the nationís highest court? At play is whether the privilege
should go to
the attorney generalís office, a high-powered lawyer hired by Governor Carcieri,
Charlestownís assistant solicitor on Indian affairs or a combination therein?."
