South Dakota State University (SDSU) extends an open invitation to
either nominate individuals or apply for the position of Diversity
Director.  The successful candidate will lead the university's efforts
to be a more inclusive and diverse institution.  The Director is a
direct report to the President.

A doctorate and academic credentials for appointment in an appropriate
academic department are preferred qualifications.  The minimum
requirements are a Master's degree and five (5) years of progressively
responsible experience working with diversity initiatives and/or
programs in higher education or a comparable complex organization;
proven and documentable accomplishments in successfully achieving
diversity initiatives; effective written, interpersonal and
collaborative communications skills; and the motivation,
professionalism, and drive to advance the University's diversity
initiatives.  

 

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications.  Office will be
located in Brookings, South Dakota.
