We invite you to The University of Texas at San Antonio for the Heroes &
Heritage Student Leadership Summit on March 2, 2011.

The aim of the Heroes & Heritage Student Leadership Summit is to connect
historically underrepresented talent with federal agencies to promote
diversity at the entry and mid-level positions that lead to the leadership
and executive management levels. This event is planned to assist federal
agencies in meeting succession management plans.

UTSA is proud to be a first-time sponsor of this event, and as a
minority-serving institution with 30,000 students, is an ideal host partner.
Two-thirds of our students come from historically underrepresented groups,
and nearly half are first-generation college students. UTSA ranks fourth in
the nation for bachelor's degrees awarded to Hispanics, and we rank third in
the nation for degrees awarded to Hispanics in STEM fields (science,
technology, engineering and math). UTSA also has the largest veteran student
population in Texas, with more than 1,600 veterans receiving educational
benefits.

Through the Heroes & Heritage Student Leadership Summit, federal agencies
will have access not only to UTSA students but also to a diverse and
multicultural talent pool of students from two-year colleges and four-year
universities in the surrounding San Antonio area. For example, of the Alamo
Community College District's 60,000+ students, more than 70 percent come
from underrepresented groups.

Attending this event will offer you the following benefits and
opportunities:
Reach a large and diverse pool of students representing all
majors/classifications Brand your agency on campus Present workshops on
opportunities/professional positions in federal government Educate our
future workforce about internships, experiential learning and fellowships
Mentor college graduates and influence them through leadership in action
Develop networking partnerships with university staff and faculty Make the
most of your limited funding for recruiting with this one-stop event

To further maximize your investment, UTSA and Heroes & Heritage will be
offering webcasting and DVDs for select workshops at the Student Leadership
Summit.
We hope to see you in San Antonio, Texas, on March 2 and look forward to
helping you meet your agency's diversity recruiting needs.
