    deadline.  Community Scholar awards are available for individuals to
    pursue independently designed research projects in association with
    the Smithsonian staff.
  * *Native American Awards Program – Internship Award*

    deadline.  Interns pursue directed-research projects, visit the
    Institution, and utilize its Native American related resources with
    supervision by Smithsonian staff members.

    deadline.  Visiting students pursue independently designed research
    projects in association with Smithsonian staff.  The Native American
    Awards program supports Native students and scholars affiliated with

    and Public Administration*

    deadline.  Internships in residence at the Smithsonian are offered
    to minority senior undergraduate and graduate students in Business
    and Public Administration.  This program is designed to promote

Students(WINS)* deadline – Spring 2012*

components:  Academic Course Work, Research, an Internship in government 
agency, and Cultural/Social activities, each interwoven to ensure 
emphasis of traditional Native practices and values.  All fees and costs 
are paid through the internship sponsor and American University.
