is comprised of teaching undergraduate Art History classes at all levels and having the opportunity to develop online courses and new curriculum.This is a 9 month, full time appointment with an expected start date in August 2017. Salary is commensurate with

<p class="MsoNormal">Specific teaching load will depend upon departmental needs and the successful applicant's expertise. The workload for this position is likely to be 60% teaching (three courses per semester), 20% research, and 20% service to the university,
community, and discipline. A successful candidate should have the ability to teach a variety of subject matter including Intro to Western Art, World Art, Contemporary Art, and Special Topics courses. A candidate must be able to offer students a comprehensive
understanding of Art History by teaching a strong work ethic, various methods of research and practice, critical discourse and innovative thinking. An ideal candidate will be committed to mentoring students, collegiality, and interdisciplinary teaching.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This position also entails the management and curation of our on campus exhibition space, the Kimura Gallery. During the last 20 years, the gallery has hosted over 100 exhibitions of national and international artists such as Dalton Ghetti,
Sandow Birk, Jose Bedia, and Shirin Neshat. The Kimura Gallery, with an emphasis on international art and contemporary themes, is an educational facility that provides students and the public the opportunity to see and experience a wide range of art forms
first hand created by innovative artists. The programming schedule of the gallery is directly integrated into the course work of Art History, Art Appreciation and studio art classes. <o:p></o:p></p>
