I would like to report to everyone who replied to my post concerning the
malacology serials at the University of Northern Iowa Museum. I received
16 responses from as far away as London, Nicaragua and Argentina.
Stateside, requests came from AL, CA, IL (3), MA, MD, NY, OH, PA (2)
along with two other alternative suggestions. These responses were
received beginning .75 hrs. through 139.5 hrs. after the original post.

After consideration of all the choices, using some basic principles as
guidelines, i.e. a good home = a place where they will not only be
preserved, but used as well; and a desire to keep them in the midwest if
possible, it turns out, the first respondent was the chosen recipient.
The material is being sent to:

>> Illinois State Museum
>> 1011 East Ash Street
>> Springfield, Illinois 62703-3535

Thank-you you all for your interest, and thank-you nhcoll-l (SPNHC) for
providing this medium of exchange.
