I will weigh in against attachments.  Some of us deal with an in-box of a
finite size and can handle only so much mail.  Several times I have been
sent e-mails with attachments that shut down my account,( the
university allowed for 5 megabytes in the account).
  I prefer being informed about an image or a document, would have someone
put it on a web page, and if I want it, I can then download it to my hard
drive, virus scan it and go from there.
