[NHCOLL-L:662] Literature for young people

Folks:

My museum is working with the local school district in a program for at-risk
high schoolers.  We will be bringing them to the museum once a week for the
entire school year.  They will rotate through all of the departments,
including maintenance, food services, education, the gift shop, and of
course, collections and exhibits.

I'd like to use part of their time to teach them a little about the reason
for natural history collections, their value and importance. I'm looking for
any fliers or brochures etc. that people might have put together along these
lines, especially aimed at young people.  While these kids may not ever go
on to work in a museum, they will certainly be taxpayers!  I asked Sue
McLaren if SPNHC had any such literature, but they do not.  She suggested I
pose this question to the List.

I can develop something anew if needed, but if any of you have anything like
this already and would be willing to share it........
