Dear Colleagues:
I have been contacted by a colleague who wants to deposit the holotype of a microscopic, multicellular alga in our collection. The material is currently in glutaraldehyde. What is the best or most appropriate way to preserve the material? I would like to have a portion of it put onto a microscope slide so it could be easily examined. What slide medium is recommended for preserving important specimens such as this?
