Dear All
Is there anyone out there who has experience mounting cetacean skeletons?
If so see below.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Conservation Department of the Azorean Government is looking for
someone interested in giving a workshop on mounting of cetacean
skeletons. We are flexible in terms of schedule, and we can manage an
entire week accommodation plus travel expenses. This workshop will take
place in Horta, Faial Island.
We have already several carcasses and a complete bottlenose dolphin
skeleton (3.10 meters) ready to mount. The main purpose of this workshop
will be to train local people from the Azores islands to mount
skeletons. The natural history collections in this region are very poor
on cetaceans and some other mammals. This initiative will be organized
by the regional network for stranded cetaceans that is part of the
Conservation Department.
If you are interested, please contact André Guerreiro da Silva at the
following address, and send a CV explaining your previous experience in
mounting cetacean skeletons.
