[NHCOLL-L:1878] wasp nest preservation

A question regarding preservation of wasp nests:
I am trying to find more information on techniques to preserve/consolidate a
variety of nests made by wasps. I am especially interested in nests of
Sphecidae (mud daubers) and Vespidae (paper wasps). I have had a terrible
time with finding any literature, maybe some of you have some tricks of the
trade?
