NHCOLL -
We are winding up a project on recurating our tissue collections, and in
the process came across some herp tissue samples for which we have tried to
track down information. Unfortunately, we have not succeeded, so perhaps
someone on this listserv can help.
We have two small boxes of tissues in cryogenic vials labeled with "RSL"
field numbers. These numbers are fairly high (i.e., > 4000), and so they
probably were collected by someone other than a graduate student or
amateur. Unfortunately, no one in the MVZ has any recollection of who they
might belong to, i.e., we can't seem to associate anyone at MVZ with those
initials. Some tissues are whole animals (tadpoles?), but there are no
taxonomic names on the vials that might help us associate the tissues with
a researcher. It's possible that they were brought to the MVZ by a visiting
researcher or postdoc. In any case, I'm wondering if anyone on this list
might recognize the initials for those tissues.
Thanks in advance.
