Summer Internship
American Museum of Natural History
Natural Sciences Conservation

The Natural Sciences Conservation Laboratory of the American Museum of 
Natural History is offering a 10 week summer internship for a graduate or 
advanced-level student in conservation or a related field.  The internship 
will focus on the conservation and preservation of natural science 
specimens and will involve the student in all current lab activities.  Such 
activities include: applying a risk assessment model to the scientific 
collections, researching the long-term stability of current specimen 
preparation techniques, developing new approaches to specimen preparation, 
treating special collections, and developing standards for the long-term 
preservation of scientific collections.  Specific interests of the selected 
applicant can also be accommodated.

A stipend will be provided as support over the 10 week period.  Any
