[NHCOLL-L:2241] display case pests

Can anyone on the nhcoll-list suggest effective means of controlling museum beetle (Anthrenus) in gallery displays of large mammals and birds? We used to use dichlorvos in the cases, but this is no longer possible. Are there alternative chemical treatments? Or physical treatments such as steam? These are old cases in an old building and are built-in floor to ceiling, so no chance of sealing the cases for serious fumigation or CO2 treatment. We'd rather not disturb the contents (at least not until they're re-displayed in a few years' time). If anyone can suggest a cheap, effective system for "in-situ" disinfestation, I'd be really grateful.

Many thanks

Tony Irwin
