Hi. I'm trying to determine how many taxidermy mounted Gharials (Gavialis
gangeticus) are in U.S. collections. I've checked combined herp index and
gotten a list of the participating institutions who have Gavilalis, and I'm
checking online collection databases for those institutions who have
them. However, I'm not sure if everybody has their taxidermy mounted
crocodilians cataloged. This is the sort of thing that might be in an
exhibit hall and uncataloged.
So... does anybody know of any taxidermy mounted Gavialis in U.S. collections?
Thanks,
greg
