The Milwaukee Public Museum has available a full-time position for a
collection manager as described below.

Milwaukee Public Museum
The Milwaukee Public Museum invites applicants for a Collections Manager
position in the Department of Invertebrate Zoology, with an emphasis in
Entomology. The Milwaukee Public Museum, established in 1882, holds more
than 6.3 million objects and specimens in the disciplines of anthropology,
botany, geology, history, and zoology. Applicants should have a minimum of
a M.S. degree or equivalent professional experience to fulfill the duties of
this position. Essential duties and responsibilities include care of
collections, data and records management, processing specimen loans,
shipping and receiving specimens, processing and preparation of new and
existing collections, field collection of specimens, and coordinating
collections interpretation and access. We are seeking an experienced and
energetic professional who will participate in the improvement, expansion,
development, and databasing of our growing invertebrate zoology collections,
particularly in entomology, currently numbering more than 750,000 specimens.
The collections manager is also expected to participate in various public
service programs and educational activities (exhibits, lectures,
identification of specimens). To apply submit a curriculum vitae,
