Hi,

The Society for the History of Natural History (SHNH) is based in 
London, but they do have a North American rep/coordinator....I think 
she's (Leslie?) with the Smithsonian (I have her card somewhere around 
here having just met her at a conference in Philadelphia).   Individual 
memberships are $60.00 US.    The other group that is sometimes confused 
with this  association is The Society for the Preservation of Natural 
History Collections which IS based in the USA but has an international 
following.
