The Museum SOS website (www.museum-sos.org) is a new resource for
disaster planning, covering issues of preparedness, response, and recovery
specifically for museum collections. The site is intended to act as a
continually growing resource for the collections community; currently, it
features presentations and workshop materials from a Society for the
Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) conference entitled
"Museum SOS: Strategies for Emergency Response and Salvage", which was
held at the American Museum of Natural History in May 2004.

We encourage you to use the site as a resource, and to help keep it both
current and relevant by sending us information on current events, links to
other resources, and other content via museumsos at amnh.org. We would also
welcome comments on the site.

MuseumSOS.org is hosted by the American Museum of Natural History.
Development of the site was supported by the National Science Foundation
through grant # NSF DBI-353533.
