[NHCOLL-L:3259] Botanical lantern slides

Dear List,
A gentleman recently showed me a set of 150 botanical illustration lantern slides.  The slides were produced by W.M Welch Scientific Co. from Chicago, but I have no date.  Would anyone know if there is a collector or institution that would be interested in having these slides?  Do they have historical value?  Thanks.
