Head of Security and Facilities
The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History
(SNOMNH), University of Oklahoma, is seeking a
highly trained, experienced, and skilled
professional to serve as Head of Security and
Facilities. The SNOMNH is a major university
museum in a state-of-the-art facility of 198,000
sq. ft. with 120 staff and over 140,000 visitors
a year. The Head of Security and Facilities will
report to the Associate Director. The primary
purpose and function of this position is to
provide leadership, supervision, and management
of the security, custodial and building
management operations of the museum facility. The
Head of Security and Facilities will work as a
team member to create and maintain the highest
level of museum standards and practices. He/she
must be a proven administrator, skilled
communicator, and team player with proven
decision-making and problem-solving skills. This
is a full-time permanent position, M-F 8:00 am to
5:00 pm, with adjustments for after-hours,
holiday, evening, and weekend hours. Applicants
must have minimum qualifications of a bachelor's
degree in management, criminal justice, human
relations, law, education or similar areas with
36 months of senior administrative experience. A
master's degree is preferred, with 48 months of
senior administrative experience. The salary is
dependent on education, experience and ability.
