[NHCOLL-L:3295] Object Numbering

We have in our collection a number of paleontological specimens that are
photographed for research using an alcohol immersion technique.  I am
looking for a way to mark specimens in a manner that will withstand the
alcohol immersion.  I use B-67 and ligroine to mark most of our collections,
but I don't believe that this would stand up to an alcohol immersion.  Does
anyone have any suggestions?
