It depends upon the nature of the written agreement that was put in place at
the time of the original loan.  
 
If there was no loan agreement or other documentation, then it might be seen
as a gift.  The rules probably vary from state to state.  You need to ask a
lawyer.

A curious question....
If a collection from university museum A is moved to museum B at another
university, can museum A request the collection back a decade or more later?
Are these usually considered gifted or loaned collections?

Subject: [NHCOLL-L:3834] Vulcanized Fiber

Has anybody ever used vulcanized fiber tags for tissue tubes?  We've used
regular paper tags inside tissue tubes with success, but our new tag company
(Kay Toledo Tag) prints on vulcanized fiber.  Has anybody tested this to see
what it does to tissues in a tube?
