Deadlines are approaching for another round of FAIC  workshops and online 
courses, so please take a look at the following  courses. 
Adhesives for  Conservation” is an intensive, five-day course that will  
address the chemical, physical, and practical aspects of adhesives for  
conservators of all materials specialties. The course focuses on the chemical  and 
physical properties of various adhesives, as well as their applications in  
conservation work. “Adhesives for Conservation” is a team-taught course led by  
Velson Horie of the British Library and Julia Fenn of the Royal Ontario Museum and 
features numerous recorded  presentations from several prominent 
conservators. The workshop will take place  at the Gerald R. Ford  Conservation Center in 
Omaha, Nebraska, between Monday, October 6, and  Friday, October 10. The cost 
is $600 for AIC members, $900 for non-members.  Applications are due by the
