[NHCOLL-L:4635] Mobile Mastodon Mount

I thought our list serve members might be interested in reading a new
blog, just posted on the Ohio Historical Society's collection blog site.
It is about a creative way to mount one of our mastodon skulls that can
be used for storage, transportation and exhibit. The skull has now made
two trips on the new mount, and it works wonderfully. The blog includes
photos of different aspects of the mount. My thanks to folks at the
Crawford County Park District, who paid for half the costs of creating
this new mount (so they could get the skull on loan for a special
exhibit they had), and to Karen Hassel of our design department for
leading the effort to design and build the unit. Let me know what you
