A research project and exhibition that explored  and explained to the public 
advanced issues in modern  art conservation has been awarded the 2009 College

and Planning Program Shares Preparedness  Tips       Assessments conducted

Leadership  Roundtable 
Heritage Preservation convened 40 people from  around the country at the 
Alliance for Response  Leadership Roundtable on November 18, 2008.  The Alliance 
for Response leaders were joined  at the Roundtable by emergency management 
officials,  cultural heritage experts, and representatives of  funding agencies.

Funding

Four significant endangered murals are  currently being assessed by Rescue

Heritage Preservation has also received a grant  for the treatment of Homage 
to Seurat: La  Grande Jatte in Harlem by the late Eva  Cockcroft, which was 
assessed in September 2007 by  artists representative Janet Braun-Reinitz and

CAP Staff Available to Attend  Museum Conferences 2009  
The CAP staff is currently planning their  attendance at 2009 museum 
conferences around the  country. CAP staffers will be happy to speak about the  
program at any conservation-related sessions. In  addition, CAP brochures are 
available for distribution  at both sessions and booths at all conferences. For

CAP Application  Update 
This year's CAP recipients will be the first to  participate in the new 
expedited schedule that CAP is  piloting for 2009. Whereas in previous years, CAP  
museums had to wait until the spring or summer to have  their assessments, in 
2009 participating museums can  schedule their site visits for as early as
