I am Archivist at the Powell-Cotton Museum at Birchington, Kent UK
(www.quexmuseum.org) and have recently joined this list, so hello everyone.
We are moving towards the use of a computer database for our collections,
which include a large amount of natural history - mounted mammals in
dioramas, skins, and a lot of skeletal material, as well as smaller amounts
of other material.
We are intending to use AdLib software. We would like to know what other
similar collections have used and also which Thesaurus product they have
used to ensure a consistency of description. Any other comments, tips or
experience would also be extremely welcome.
