We use Stainless steel tanks for holding large specimens here at KU (in fact, we have a coelacanth specimen in one right now). These are ideal as long as the specimen is not intended for display.
There are two companies that we have dealt with in the past who would be willing to make custom sizes and shapes of tanks:
Steel Fixtures

Tel: 1-800-342-9180

Delta Design
1535 NW 25th Street, Topeka, KS 66618 USA

They have standard sizes that we have ordered in the past but will custom make others. Attached is the Steel Fixtures brochure. When last we ordered (2001) they ranged in price from $344.00 + $72.00 for dolly for the 18" x 15" x 15" size to $758.00 + $121.00 for dolly for the 29" x 24" x 23".
Not sure if shipping will be cost prohibitive for you but this should give you something to go on.

Subject: [NHCOLL-L:4230] Spirit container for coelacanth
Hello,
I need to source a large tank to hold a coelacanth in spirit. The fish is preserved in IMS. It has been suggested that a large aquarium tank might be appropriate but I am unsure about the compatibility between IMS and silicone. Does anyone have any experience of this. Also, does anyone know of a company who might make us a tank specifically?
I would appreciate any help.
Best wishes
Nicola
