[NHCOLL-L:4243] Two mounted fish specimens available

Dear All:

We have recently deaccessioned two large (4+ feet long), mounted fish
specimens.

One is a tarpon, the other is a sailfish.

There are no data associated with the tarpan collection; the sailfish
has a label with some collection information on it (name of collector;
locality; date).

The specimens are obviously better for "display" (they are mounted on
wood) than as scientific collections.

They are FREE (but you'd have to come get them yourself, or pay to have
them shipped--our institution is suffering from a lack of funds).

They're a bit worse-for-wear but still presentable; I have photographs
available (upon request).

PS If you can't use them, I would welcome suggestions on how to get rid
of them (short of taking them home myself, or dumping them in the
skip--both of which are frowned upon by our Collections Policy). E.g.,
fish restaurants who might want them, etc.

Thanks & Happy St. Patrick's Day,

Scott
