So, someone dumped and egg collection on you, eh?
Heh, heh.  In the old days we (WFVZ), expended much
energy and fiat tracking down and acquiring egg collections.

Freeze the incoming stuff?
No, .......  no need.

Here's why-

Old bird egg specimens  already have their membranes eaten
out, unless, the lil beetles that could fit through the egg's
blow-hole didn't care for the flavor of 'em.  I have seen very
old eggs with their membranes only partially consumed.  What's
with that,  I dunno.  How did I examine the condition of the
membranes through the blow-hole?
  ...... With an ophthalmoscope!

My point is, whatever the bugs like, has already been consumed.

Freshly blown eggs are a different matter................
