We are preparing a very interesting workshop on this exact subject for the 2010 SPNHC Conference in Ottawa, Canada. (May 31-June 6, 2010)

This may not be the perfect timing for you but we will be covering these two issues in details (and many more that are critical for storage facilities for fluid-preserved collections).

We are in need of upgrading our alcohol collections infrastructure. We have significant collections in marine invertebrates, terrestrial arthropods, fish, amphibians, and reptiles. What is the current 'best practice' for fire resistant cabinetry and fire suppression systems?
